New Positions

Director of Career Services
Roy J. Carver Biotechnology Center

Proposed Starting Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications: B.S. or B.A. (preference for M.S. or M.A.), ability to work independently, and must possess outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Preference is for background in life science, experience in institutional/corporate research, career services, and/or human resources.

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities: The Director of Career Services in the Carver Biotechnology Center is responsible for the operation and management of the Career Services Office, which advises graduate and professional students in the life sciences in pursuit of their professional careers. Responsibilities include career counseling, resume critique, interview preparation inclusive of mock interviews, and maintenance of the Career Services resource center and website. In addition, work both independently and collaboratively with campus colleagues to plan and coordinate Career Fairs and campus recruiting activities.  Director will work closely with employers in acquiring and posting job advertisements, and ultimately facilitating on-campus interviews for job recruitment.

Type of Position:  Full-time Academic Professional, with full University benefits package.
